Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Weight Tracker iOS application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. We designed Weight Tracker to be as private as possible: your weight entries never leave your device.
1. Data stored on your device
The following information is stored locally on your iPhone only and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Weight entries (value, date, timestamp)
- Personal preferences (units, goal type, goal weight, start date, gender, appearance)
- Onboarding state
We do not have a backend database. We do not collect, see, or have access to this data. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it. You can also export or delete it at any time from Settings.
If you restore a new iPhone from an iCloud backup, Apple restores the App's local data as part of that backup — that process is controlled by Apple, not by us.
2. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store. To manage these subscriptions and deliver premium features across your devices, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription infrastructure provider.
When you start a purchase, restore a purchase, or the App checks your subscription status, the following information is processed by RevenueCat:
- A pseudonymous App User ID generated by RevenueCat
- Purchase receipt data issued by Apple
- Subscription status and transaction history
- Device information (model, OS version, App version) necessary to validate the purchase
- Country/region inferred from the App Store
We do not send your weight data, goal, or any health-related information to RevenueCat or to any other third party.

Apple handles payment itself. We never see your credit card, Apple ID, or billing address.
3. App Tracking Transparency and advertising
The App may request your permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. We do this so that, if you consent, we can show personalized advertising and measure ad performance in future versions of the App.
- If you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be accessed and shared with advertising partners for personalized ads and ad attribution.
- If you deny tracking (or have not yet responded to the prompt), no advertising identifier is accessed and no tracking is performed.
You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
At the time of this version, the App does not yet display advertisements. The ATT permission is requested in preparation for a future update that will include advertising. Until that feature ships, no tracking data is actually collected even if you grant permission. When advertising is introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated with the names of the specific advertising partners used.
4. Crash and diagnostic data
The App does not include any third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs (no Firebase, no Amplitude, no Segment, no Mixpanel, no AppsFlyer, no Adjust).
If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send us aggregated crash reports through App Store Connect. These reports do not include personal information or your weight data.
5. Data we do NOT collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Your name, email, phone number, or address
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, or other files
- Your health data from Apple Health
- Any biometric identifiers
- Your browsing history outside the App
The App does not sign you in with any account. There is no login, no cloud sync operated by us, and no social features.
6. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, note that no personal data leaves their device.
7. Your rights
Because your data is stored only on your device, you are fully in control:
- Access: open the App to see all your entries.
- Export: Settings → Export Data (produces a JSON file you own).
- Delete: Settings → Delete All Data, or uninstall the App.
- ATT consent: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Subscription: manage or cancel in iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
If you are in the EU / UK / California or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), the same controls apply — you have the right to access, delete, or export your data directly from the App, without contacting us.
8. Security
Because data stays on your device, security depends primarily on iOS. We recommend enabling a passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and keeping iOS up to date. Subscription data processed by RevenueCat and Apple is transmitted over HTTPS.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Significant changes (for example, the introduction of advertising partners) will be announced in the App's release notes.
10. Contact
If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or your data, use the support link in the App Store listing or reply through App Store Connect.
